【Historical Story】 In 2015, ROZEL made its debut with the 200 CROWN aero!
【History Story|ROZEL】
The first model from ROZEL, an aero for the 200 CROWN. How did the sedan specialist magazines report on it in 2015?
In 2015, ROZEL entered the VIP industry. At the time, ALESS was already a well-known specialist in the field of sedans, and as an aero manufacturer launched by ALESS, it attracted a great deal of attention from the very beginning.
The first model chosen by ROZEL was the 200 CROWN. It has a one-of-a-kind design, and the settings are quite aggressive, which is almost unheard of for a manufacturer’s demo car. Even from this point, it has a different atmosphere to other manufacturers.
As a special feature, we have included an article from the car magazine VIP STYLE from that time. “How was ROZEL evaluated in the VIP industry when it made its debut?”. This content will greatly satisfy the curiosity of fans.

ROZEL for 200CROWN
ROYAL & ATHLETE
The simple exterior makes the most of the high-class sedan look. However, the vehicle height is incredibly low. As an example, we need not even mention Mr. Koda’s 32 CIMA, which once graced the cover of VIP STYLE, but there are many simple, low-slung VIPs in Gifu Prefecture. The representative of ALESS, who worked on this aero, was also one of the people who took part in the event with a similar 50 PRESIDENT, and he has finished many cars like that. That is why the ROZEL aero is both high-class and simple, and can also be used with a lowered vehicle.
“Even if it’s simple, if it doesn’t look any different from the stock version, it won’t attract people’s attention. After all, it’s a dress-up car, so I think it’s essential to have a design that’s appropriate for the current era. How to make it blend in without any sense of incongruity is what ROZEL thinks is the simple aero of the current era,” said the person in charge.
That’s not to say that they don’t add any styling touches. They add spindles, sharp lips, and even a diffuser at the rear. However, none of these are overdone, and the key point is that they blend in neatly with the sedan body.
The black painted section that forms the base of the spindle has a more restrained forward overhang than the standard version. So, the spindle line does not stick out too far in front, and it smoothly integrates with the hood in a single curve. The lip also tapers off as it goes to the side, so that when you look at the car from an angle, it doesn’t look like it has a protruding chin. The line under the lights is also lowered from the stock version, helping to eliminate the flat feeling.
The rear is also full of attention to detail. The diffuser has no fins, ducts or markers, but the linework creates deep shadows. It is a finish that could be called a model for simple aero, creating a sense of depth and contrast without relying on modeling.
“The front and rear aero parts are designed based on the height of the standard side skirts, so there are no side skirts. This means that the owner won’t have to worry about any extra costs, and the main selling point is that you can drive the car at the height of the demo car,” says the person in charge.
While incorporating popular design elements, they don’t emphasize them. However, the aura they exude is something else, and they also have a modern newness to them. If the secret lies in their sense of balance, then ROZEL definitely has it.
FRONT PART
If you look under the grill, you can clearly see that it has a smaller overhang than the standard version. As a result, the spindle does not stick out strangely, and blends naturally with the body. The line under the headlights is positioned slightly lower than the standard model. This reduces the distance between the lights and the opening. The opening is simple, with no fog lights. The lip is thin and has a sporty shape with a raised center. The edges do not wrap around the bumper sides, but smoothly disappear to create a natural silhouette.
BACK PART
The rear bumper has no fins or ducts, and has a genuine sports grade look. It is composed of a simple diffuser with two types of lines that create a clear gradation and shadowing. The muffler outlet is a genuine part. It is set at an optimal position for the aero, with a slight lean. The sides have a concave shape, and the bottom line that extends from the fender arch and muffler cross over. It also has a lot of depth, and this also creates a sense of contrast. The trunk spoiler also has two lines on the top and in the center.
